Pulse DMS (Device Management & Security) is a flexible subscription service built on Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager and Azure, that enables users to migrate, manage and secure devices directly from the internet. The cloud-based service provides enterprise-class system management capabilities, including secure operating system deployment, patch servicing and self-service software deployment with zero on-premise infrastructure. It can be used to manage Windows 7 through to 10 and Windows 2012 R2 through to 2016.
In addition, Pulse OM (Operational Monitoring) is a cloud-hosted monitoring solution that feeds health, performance and availability data from servers and workloads, into a single, easy to use, online platform.
The launch of both products follows PowerON acquiring the intellectual property rights for cloud-based IT infrastructure monitoring product, Tibana from Nubigenus, before significantly redeveloping and enhancing it.
Chris Lim from PowerON explains: “We’re really pleased with the feedback so far on Pulse from both customers, partners and Microsoft alike. For a long-time we have been asked for the functionality of System Center, but delivered as a service, like the benefits that have been delivered with products such as Exchange Online. Specifically with Pulse DMS, our customers evaluating Windows 10 deployments are seeing great value in the cost benefits analysis savings, especially with the speed at which we can deploy and secure devices directly from the internet, whilst eliminating on premise infrastructure maintenance. There’s no doubt these products will save a huge variety of businesses, as well as public sector organisations, both time and money.”
York based PowerON specialises in providing powerful, high quality IT management and cloud automation solutions to organisations of all sizes. It was founded in 2015 by experienced IT professionals Phil Mercer and Steve Beaumont and now employs a team of 27, with an annual turnover of more than £2m.
The company is also one of only a few firms in the world to be invited to join Microsoft’s Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS) Elite Partner Team, and now assists the world’s largest software maker in developing both new and existing products.
